The Philips DreamStation BiPAP AVAPS is a non-invasive ventilation (NIV) device designed for patients with chronic respiratory insufficiency and sleep-related breathing disorders. It combines BiPAP therapy with AVAPS (Average Volume Assured Pressure Support) and AAM-AE (Automated Airway Management – Auto EPAP) technologies to automatically adapt pressure support and maintain stable ventilation. The device continuously monitors patient breathing patterns and dynamically adjusts inspiratory pressure to maintain the target tidal volume while improving comfort and ventilation efficiency. It is commonly used in both hospital-to-home transition care and long-term home respiratory therapy.
